Garden Cove Park

What a great photo this turned out to be by just driving down an unassuming random road! I found this gem of a photo in of all places the closed Garden Cove Park boat ramp . That’s right, from what I could see it’s been closed for a while. As you can see by the picture below, there’s cement lane barricades stopping vehicles from entering and yet it said nothing about no foot traffic and so I entered to obtain this photo. The distance from the cement barriers to the blue boat shown above is only about 100′ at the most. It’s from here at the lakes edge that you get to see its beautiful views and take your own postcard quality photos for your scrapbook. Don’t be deterred, there’s no ‘Keep out’ signs or ‘No trespassing’ signs either.

You can find this abandoned Garden Cove Park at the corner of Garden Cove & Atlantic roads in Key Largo just .4 miles off of US-1 at Mile Marker 107.0 oceanside at the beginning of the city limits.
