Though I know why it’s here, I mean no disrespect but must admit, this is a tad creepy looking! The combo of odd-shaped tree, spear point topped wrought iron fence and black hooded bust around a pale white face on a pedestal is indeed a bit strange-looking. Without knowing what it is, walking up on this you’d think it was a Halloween mask from a far. And yes, I know the hood on the nuns head is called a habit! 🙂 And no, I won’t make a joke about the ‘habit’. 😦
You can find this oddity tribute to Nuns beside the Stations Of The Cross mosaics & Monument To The Unborn at the St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church Gardens located behind their activity building at the corner of Truman Avenue & Windsor Lane.
