RR Crossing Sign NOT At Railroad!

IMG_0443I’ve found a working railroad crossing sign nowhere close to a railroad track! Well, a fake purely decorative one that is! It’s very similar to those found at real railroad crossings.

It sits beside a large tree’s base partially hidden by a bench used to rest tourists tired feet. It goes from red to green and green to red as the masses pass it by the thousands never taking notice. I myself have passed it numerous times before taking this picture.

You can find this working railroad crossing sign at Mallory Square’s Conch Tour Train station on Front Street here in Key West.

  1. NO, never a working RR crossing sign. Was put in by Ed Swift when he did the original Flagler station but was never an actually crossing sing although the round RXR sign might have been used on a crossing somewhere.
