Welcome to the surfboard laden entrance to a California throwback bar located in the Florida Keys.
In 1997 the Morada Bay Café opened offering guests a beautiful sunset view from bayside tables, a casual surfing and sailboard interior and an eclectic bistro style menu. Created to evoke the feel of a beach café where surfers and sailboarders could relax after a day on the water. The café is an outdoor bistro set in the sand with inside and outside bars, live entertainment, a large child-friendly beach with giant Adirondack chairs, and renowned Full-Moon parties every month.
Every full-moon they host a large beach party with multiple bonfires in the sand and many different specialty drinks available at their indoor and outdoor bars. Join them for dinner at either of their restaurants; or just settle into an Adirondack chair, a tropical colored Tiki table and stools, or bring a blanket to relax on the beach. In addition, any number of other performers may join the party throughout the evening: Brazilian Capoeira dancers, Bahamian Junkanoo Parade, a circus thru the beach (stilt walkers, fireblowers, acrobats, etc.), face painters, balloon artists, giant screen TV’s and of course fireworks. The monthly Full-Moon Party is approximately $20 per person.
To find this Hawaiian & California themed bar drive to Mile Marker 81.4 bayside pulling into the Worldwide Sportsman’s parking lot. You’ll see the surfboards in the corner of the parking lot, to walk around is FREE, the bar bill on the other hand is yours! 🙂
