This bar & grille indeed has the three most important ingredients for success… it’s called location, location, location! Wow, this is one fantastic place to totally immerse yourself in every aspect of satisfaction. The atmosphere is the most obvious being off the charts scoring an 11 out of a possible 10. Your eyes are able to enjoy both oceans in a single view, the Atlantic in front of you and the Gulf of Mexico just under the bridge to the right.
Its entertainment was superb, the 2 member band was unusually entertaining and actually fun to listen to hitting all of the major genres. The food was well worth the wait, it was equally good and filling washing it all down with a chilling brewski as a bead of sweat christened my brow. Though we didn’t partake in the free ‘patrons only’ swimming pool, others did. The area to the right of the tiki hut is a game area that we did enjoy for a round of oddly named “Cornhole”. You each toss 3 large bean bags approximately 30 ft to an awaiting platform with a 6″ hole you’re suppose to ring.
This place was packed as we just so happened to show up on its anniversary weekend celebration and willingly chose to sit outside in the warm sunshine. The view was indeed to-die-for as you can see from the photo below capped off with the 7-Mile Bridge as a backdrop to some beautiful photos on this beautiful day. I had no problem tipping more than the norm for what turned out to be one of the best over all places ever we’ve chosen to eat at. Don’t you dare miss this hidden gem, though you can only see the tiki hut roof and sign from the road it’s well worth the side road at Knights Key in finding the Sunset Grille & Raw Bar.
You can find this awesome hide-a-way at Mile Marker 46.8 on the Atlantic Ocean side of the northernmost point 7-Mile Bridge on US-1.
