I’m constantly reading signs on homes as we pedal by them on our daily bike rides around Key West. This is actually a double duo of two humorous signs on the same front porch wall available for your roadside viewing pleasure at the astounding price of FREE!
This first one is based on a reference to the 1939 MGM classic Hollywood movie the Wizard Of Oz where the wicked witch of the east dies by a house falling on her promising revenge from her sister the wicked witch of the west. If you’re as old as I am you’ll remember the movie! 🙂 It reads: ‘I Haven’t Been The Same Since That House Fell On My Sister’.
The second reference is a mailbox for the younger crowed since snail mail is still delivering to our homes from Mondays thru Saturdays. It reads: ‘Bills Not Accepted’… If only it were that easy to avoid paying them! 🙂
You can find the rarely seen artwork… OK signs…at the corner of Geraldine & Fort Streets near the Bahama Village area on the western side of the island.
